Although many people are surrounded by thousands of brands every day, they talk about them; surprisingly just few people really understand what a brand is and why it is important to an organisation of any size.

So what is a brand? It is an organisation or product or service with a personality. When a brand is created for a new organisation many aspects need to be taken into consideration such as: product or services, environment, communication and behaviour in order to create a brand that will help the organisation to succeed. Once all these aspects are analysed in depth and reflected in creation of the new brand, the organisation will have a much better chance to succeed and make itself a customer only choice. A strong brand develops an image of quality and helps businesses to be seen as trustworthy and reliable. It can also help businesses to stand out from crowd and give them a chance to compete with already existing, well known brands.

The biggest and most important issue for many small companies or start up businesses is the cost of branding. But if you are seriously thinking about being able to compete with already existing companies with established brands and if you want to succeed, make sure you have a strong brand developed and consider the money spent on this as an investment that helps your business to achieve its goals. In addition, make sure that the whole process of creating your brand is not limited to designing your logo with a few nice colours in it, but it starts from in depth analysis of the four elements: product or service, environment, communication and behaviour.
